What is fused glass?
Also known as kiln-formed glass, fused glass is a technique used by some glass artists where specific types of fine art glass is cut into various shapes and sizes and then melted or “fused” in a kiln at temperatures up to 1500 degrees Fahrenheit.
What kind of glass do you use?
We work with fine art glass that is also used in the stained glass industry. We also incorporate dichroic glass into our work.
What is dichroic glass?
Dichroic glass was originally created for the aerospace industry. It has a fine film of metal oxides fused to the surface of the glass. When used in kiln-formed art, you will notice vibrant, reflective colors that change when viewed at different angles.
What metal is used for your jewelry findings?
We use primarily silver-plated findings. A few of our items have gold plated findings. Our fish-hook earrings are sterling silver and our post earrings are hypo-allergenic silver-plated with large silver-plated and plastic backs.
Is a cable necklace included with a pendant purchase?
Yes, the cable necklace color shown in the picture is the one that will automatically be shipped with the pendant. If you would like a different color, please specify in the comment section of your checkout. The standard cables are the screw-fastener type and are 18”. Colors available are Steel, Black, Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Turquoise and Purple. 16" and 20” magnetic-fastener type cables are also available in Steel and Black.
Do you take custom orders?
No, due to the uniqueness of the colors and types of glass when fused. However, please let us know if there is something you are looking for that you do not see in our line. We like to keep our inventory fresh and we love new ideas!
ABOUT SHIPPING:
How will my item be packaged?
We take great care in shipping your item. We will package each item in a small zip-bag, wrap in tissue or bubble wrap, and mail first class via U.S. Post Office in a padded envelope.
When can I expect my item to ship?
Within three business days of order placement (we usually ship right away).
